This book was a real page turner! I really enjoyed the mix of murder & mystery, crime, family/professional drama, and business. I truly feel like it was a healthy mix of all of those things bouncing back and forth throughout the chapters tying together nicely. Appreciated towards the beginning of the book you had plenty of refreshers to remind you of the details from the first book. I am rooting for the main character Michael regardless of what he has done, which is a really cool aspect of the book. I’m sure many other readers will share that same feeling. Looking forward to see what happens next with the companies and the characters’ lives. Solid cliffhanger! We’ll done!

Just when he thought he was “out”……Michael was pulled back into the snarl of his business, financial and family complications. Regardless of his past deeds, I’m rooting for our guy, hoping he’s able to navigate all the pitfalls of his life and come out on top. Cotera leaves us with a classic cliff-hanger, wanting more!

Being retired and an avid reader I couldn’t put the book down. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Book one was just as good. Both were very riveting. Can’t wait for book three of the trilogy.

Overall, a strong second book from the author. I’ll definitely be picking up the next in the series.

I would give it 10 stars if possible – James continues to draw you in with this incredible sequel. His writing is just captivating, you will NOT be able to put it down! I love the way the story unfolds in this next chapter and cannot wait for the finale!! There are so many twists and turns – its creative and addictive! Made for TV material!! Give it a read – you will not be disappointed!
